Ric

Ric is the Manager of Chicago Male and has been cutting men's hair for the last 10 years in both Milwaukee and Phoenix where he has done countless hair and fashion shows along with many community and charity events.

"My approach to 'style' is more than just a cut or color, it's an overall well-being. When you look good you feel good and are a more productive and positive person. I look for inspiration not only in trends but in art, culture and the world around us."

Guillermo

Guillermo comes to us from Pivot Point International School of Cosmetology where he graduated at the top of his class. He's great at listening to any concerns you may have about your hair, or working with you if you'd like a new fresh look and style.

"I've always had a passion for excellence in hair design where for the past five years I've specialized in men's precision cutting and color. I express myself in my work by contrasting my creativity with the latest trends. I attend workshops and seminars on a regular basis and my objective is to provide my clients with the attention, confidence, and great look they deserve."

Leslie

Leslie won a Men's Precision Hair Cutting competition last year and has been cutting men's hair for the past 17 years. She owned her own barber shop in Columbus, Ohio for the past 5 years and recently moved to Chicago to be closer to her girlfriend and partner of 4 years.

"I feel like a man trapped in a women's body. I've always hung out with guys and recently went on a gay cruise with my best friend and had a blast! I'm excited to be at Chicago Male and in the heart of Boystown!"

Dan

Dan, also affectionately known as "Malone", is a Chicago native who has been a Cosmetologist for 23 years.  (Of course he started at the age of 9!)  Whether you're a conservative executive who needs to get a haircut before it looks like you need a haircut or a Boystown artist looking to stay fresh, you'll be in good hands with Malone in charge!

"I love new clients so feel free to request me the next time you make an appointment!  When I'm not styling the men of Boystown, you can find me lying on a beach in Southern Florida with a drink in one hand and someone else's hand in the other!"

Patrick

Before moving to Chicago, Patrick lived in the Metro Detroit area for the past 11 years where he was a hair stylist in one of the top salons in Michigan. He was an educator for Loreal Professionnel, the Toni & Guy Hair Styling Academy, and has taken advanced men's hair cutting technique courses with the American Crew Academy in Denver.

"Customer service is very important to me and I listen to each clients needs and concerns about their hair. I'm a huge University of Michigan fan! When I'm not in Chicago, my partner and I also have a home in South Beach where we like to get away as much as possible in the winter to recharge our batteries and enjoy the Florida sun!"

Andru

Andru is a graduate of Pivot Point Hair Academy where he graduated with top honors in the latest techniques and trends in men's hair styling, color and fashion. Andru understands that each client is unique and deserves a cut that fits their personality and looks forward to taking care of all your hair styling needs.

Matt

Chicago Male is proud to feature Skin Care by Matt Leyes. Matt is available by appointment for a variety of specialized facial services suited for men's unique skin care needs. Each of Matt's treatments are specifically designed to enhance the health and appearance of the skin while instilling a deep sense of relaxation and indulgence.

"I really enjoy helping people look and feel fresh and attractive. I give a complete in-depth consultation and skin analysis with every facial treatment and conclude with a customized skin care lesson. I truly love making my clients happy!"

Scott

Scott is the owner of Chicago Male and opened the shop in February 2006 to bring to the guys in Boystown a one-stop grooming and pampering place just for them. Great haircuts. Rejuvenating and relaxing facials. Quality men's skin and hair care products. All in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

"I'm not a stylist so I designed Chicago Male from the customer's perspective to be the kind of place I'd like to go. I don't like going to an expensive women's salon for a haircut or facial, and I want something better than a barbershop or a "cheap cuts" hair place. I invite you to come in and give us a try!"

Erik

Erik is part of our front desk crew and moved to Chicago almost 4 years ago after growing up in Indianapolis, IN. He's currently finishing his BA in Psychology with a minor in Business Management at Roosevelt University. There's a good chance you'll find Erik out on the prowl a couple nights a week at one of the neighborhood Boystown bars.
