My first waxing experience

Gee I was so afraid but after it was done I loved the results. I have since gone to a couple of more spots but they could not compare. Since I moved out to the suburbs I have tried a salon in Palatine and they use a soy product and it is not hot. So I guess they get 5 stars also. Have fun waxing!

Chicago Male: Great idea, greatly executed.
I moved to Chicago 6 years ago and it took me over half that time to find a hair salon I was comfortable with. When Chicago Male opened, I found a salon I'd never leave. It's a comfortable atmosphere, cool in summer and warm in winter, the front desk guys are great.

I am 44 and have all my hair - the downside is it gets puffy when it grows out (& extra puffy in winter). Since David has been cutting my hair, the puff is gone. My hair is growing in so that it looks as neat 2 or 3 weeks later as it does the day I walk out of the salon.

David works really hard - even Sundays which shocked the sh*t out of me. I highly recommend Chicago Male and David Halford. They both give the best head rub shampoos of anyone who's shampooed my hair in my 44.5 years (though Mom probably did a decent job too when I was an infant - give credit where it's due).

Pros: Male-friendly, not too expensive, great stylists esp mine, David Halford

Cons: It's not Super Cut prices but it ain't a Super Cuts either.

3/21/2009I had my second haircut at Chicago Male and I was not disappointed. My first cut was from Guillermo, excellent.

Today Donnie cut my hair and I think it is the besthaircut I have every had! He gave me at least 35-40 minutes and cut my hair exactly as I requested -- worth every penny. And he is very interesting to talk to! Thanks Donnie, I'll be back!

FEROCIOUS is one word that describe the stylists, and other staff at Chicago Male! Words CANNOT describe how fond I am of this salon. Well, maybe just a few sentences ehhh? heres what:

Affordable Prices for hair, brows, and other services. I am one of their veteran customers (even though I am not a "veteran" in age by any means lol) and I will continue to go to Guillermo (who is my stylist)

Not to sound vain by any means but I get compliments such as "You win the best hair of the night award," or "Girl, Yo hair is feeyace," and so on aaaaaaaaaaall the time. Ohh, and don't even get me started on how sharp my eyebrows look after Guillermo gives them a go. :-)

I have also sent over a few of my friends to him and made apps for my best friend to come with me and get his hair done. My friend looked so edgy after what he called the "mop" on his head was cut, and styled. lol

And its all thanks to Guillermo, and the rest of the polite staff (including the manager) at Chicago male who have held my attention to be a repeat customer since day one.

Rics the Best Stylist EVER!
So i just moved here from TX and I loved my hairdresser down there shouts to Greg in Austin!!! So i was really bummed when i moved here and realized that i had to start all over trying to find a new stylist.

Well on my first try i called up the salon, located in boystown and got a haircut with Ric! He was so funny we talked the whole time and when i looked up at the mirror to see myself wow i looked really good! Go and see him he really does excellent work, otherwise why would i tell everyone!!!! and he is super cute!

Pros: Cheap Haircuts that look amazing
Cons: no cons

I recommend Chicago Male!
I've come to realize that women just do not know how to cut mens' hair. Every time I went to Hair Cuttery or a typical salon, a woman cut my hair and made me look like KD Lang.

I went to Chicago Male, and being a rookie in the hair cutting world they had to tell me what I wanted. It's pretty simple, though. Apparently all I need is a scissor cut. They trimmed it down and made it look good. My girlfriend says he gave me layers. Whatever...it looked good, and it wasn't expensive.

This is the place for my monthly hair cut. I recommend Chicago Male for any guy in need of a trim.
